Children are already taught to consider the government to be “their family.” Now the various minions of the Obama administration are coming right out and referring to the Federal government the “our Federal family.”
As far as the Progressive left are concerned, the government is just “what we do together” and expresses the collective will under the guidance of a (non-gender specific) parental figure who takes care of the helpless and perpetually adolescent hoi polloi.
As people become more and more dependent on the government, the government will become more and more an abusive parent, through which the Progressive elite will vicariously live out their fantasies.
