Belgium, which is well known for euthanizing children and elderly people with limited cognitive function, with a penchant towards organ harvesting, has not sunk to a new low.
They have euthanized deaf twins that were going blind.
“[The twins] were euthanised by doctors at Brussels University Hospital, in Jette, on December 14 by lethal injection after spending their entire lives together.
The unnamed twins who died together: They were euthanised by doctors at Brussels University Hospital, in Jette, on December 14, by lethal injection after spending their entire lives together
Euthanasia is legal under Belgian law if those making the decision can make their wishes clear and are suffering unbearable pain, according to a doctor’s judgement.
The Belgian law differs from that of Switzerland, famous for its Dignitas clinic, where only ‘assisted suicide’ is permitted. This means patients must play an active role in the administration of the drug that ends their lives.”
What is shocking here, is that the twins were not suffering in pain. They were not being separated, and indeed could have lived their long lives together. They were only morose due to the fact that they wouldn’t be able to visually observe each other, and that they just couldn’t bear to go on living.
This begs a certain question: How many times have you, dear reader, heard a teenager declare that their life is over because of something like a break-up or not being able to do everything their friends are allowed to do, and that they just couldn’t bear to go on living?
Considering that Belgium happily lets minor children choose euthanasia, and the demonstrated fact that euthanasia is allowed for reasons amounting to sadness or depression, it is only a matter of time before some emotional Belgian teenager, who decides that their life is over due to an emotional overreaction, is euthanized by a “doctor”?
Europe is truly heading into a dark and twisted place formerly reserved for the NAZIs alone.
