There is science, and there is not science. Science, particularly when it comes to medicine, is something that is learned over time. Ideas and concepts from the past may seem like voodoo or witchcraft now, but way back when, it was cutting edge knowledge, and cutting edge knowledge which we have learned from in order to improve.
As Theodoric of York said:

But nowadays we know that Isabelle is suffering from an imbalance of bodily humors, perhaps caused by a toad or a small dwarf living in her stomach.”
It is easy to laugh at people from the past who did not know better, but we can do so now only because we know better. But when people of today eschew modern science and medicine to embrace pseudo-religious and mystical medicine, it is no laughing matter.
Case in point, as faith-healer/pastor from South Africa:
“A Daveyton pastor, who made his congregants drink a vehicle engine cleaning fluid during a sermon, has become the latest in a series of clergymen who used controversial methods to ‘cure’ their members.
“The Star has seen pictures of Prophet Theo Bongani Maseko of the Breath of Christ Ministries making his congregants drink the chemical during a service. It is understood that the incident happened last week.
“A series of pastors have for the past two years made headlines for making congregants eat grass and insects and drink dangerous concoctions.”
This is from the same country where college educated Professors “decolonize” their minds and reject Western “ways of knowing” in order to validate the idea that witch doctors can throw magical lightning bolts.
This is not just a matter of embracing anti-Westernism to some idiotic abet harmless extreme, like using alternate “ways of knowing” to grok the gender of glaciers, this is putting people’s lives at risk.
This is not just the concern of some far-off country. Academics throughout the Western world are increasingly denigrating Western Civilization and embracing alternate “ways of knowing” as valid for the simple reason that such presumed validity validates in turn the denigration of Western Civilization.
They don’t care about your health or safety, or the health and safety of you and yours. You and yours are just acceptable sacrifices for the blind faith the Leftist gods…
