Firing Line Friday: The Role of Liberals in the Republican Party

     In the hopes of encouraging a more civil, and illuminating, discourse, here is another episode of William F. Buckley, Jr.’s “Firing Line”.

     The 1978 election was disappointing for Republicans, just as the 2022 election is today.   With many independents and moderate Republicans refusing to support many Republican candidates, let us look back on when William F. Buckley, Jr. and Charles McCurdy Mathias discussed the role of liberals in the Republican Party.
