In the hopes of encouraging a more civil, and illuminating, discourse, here is another episode of William F. Buckley, Jr.’s “Firing Line”.
Many on the right today consider themselves to be part of the old working class, or at least an ally thereof, and believe that “big business is out of hand”, requiring a firm control and regulation from the Federal government. A bit over 40 years ago, the question of “is big business out of hand” was also asked, abet this time by those on the Left who wanted to control “what they designate as the abuses and excesses of big business”, as discussed between William F. Buckley, Jr., Robert M. Bleiberg, and Ralph Nader’s “right had” Mark J. Green.
Until next Friday.
