Quick Takes – State Rearing the Child: In Church, In School, In the Family

Another “quick takes” on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.

The focus this time: It’s the state’s child, not yours!

     First, a little mood music:

     Carrying on…

The U.K. has decided to crack down on extremism, but rather than admit that the threat to “British values” comes from a politically incorrect source, they’ve decided to go after… Christian churches:

“The British government is currently trying to root out extremism in the British education system following concerns that about that Islamists are indoctrinating children. In a bid to avoid appearing Islamophobic, however, the government is trying to extend anti-extremism measures to all groups that teaching children, including Christian groups.

“‘It’s profoundly insulting to suggest that churches might be radicalising children, because that’s not what Christians are.

“‘Christians are law-abiding, they support democracy and they’re taught to love their neighbour. In fact they’re much more likely to be victims of extremism.'”

Remember, blame must be shared euqally, but praise only upon the politically correct.

Why stop at religious education, when you can invade any and all aspects of education?

“One of the chief creators of the Common Core math standards is warning America’s parents to stop teaching their own children basic math because, he says, public school teachers are well-trained experts who understand rudimentary arithmetic far better.

“The directive to leave children submerged in confusion as they try to do homework comes from Jason Zimba, who was part of a trio that originally wrote the Common Core math standards.”

Because simple methods that have worked forever and a day must be tossed aside so that children can be made confused and demotivated!

     But why stop even there!

Yes, all your children are belong to them:

“Behold just some of the many ways a centralized state is increasingly assaulting children, flinging them and their families into chaos. It does this in two ways: Sanctioning or outright demanding that people psychologically assault children; and prohibiting parents from exerting their natural and just protective influence. These are sins both of commission and omission.

“…

“Let’s look at the list of recently state-sanctioned child abuse: injecting a minor with permanently body-altering opposite-sex hormones; implanting pubescent girls with hormonal birth control, which can ensure she essentially never has a period; letting underage girls get abortions; teaching toddlers about homosexuality; forcing girls to undress and shower where a boy can see them in school locker rooms; putting wildly misbehaving children in classrooms so no one can learn but at least the bad kids don’t feel ‘left out’; teaching children to hate America; and tracking children’s private beliefs and behaviors for the rest of their lives and putting it into federal databases…, then empowering bureaucrats to ‘modify’ those beliefs and behaviors.”

Yes, Leviathan wants to purge people from raising their own kids.  Parents must fight back and preempt the state in the eyes of their children.

“Among the elites, for centuries it has been a deliberate tactic to get children away from their parents as early as possible so parents cannot pass down ‘provincial and outdated ideas’

“…

“A mother and father are the first and most primal gift any child has. They desperately need that bond to be reinforced, not attenuated. But statists rightly see family bonds as an obstacle to their control of society. They understand there are basically two ways to manage children. One is for parents to be the primary caretakers and decisionmakers. The other is for the state to be the primary caretaker and decisionmaker.”
