Obama’s War on Privacy

The rabid Left’s claim of wanting to protect the “right to privacy” has already demonstrated itself to be a lie. Obama’s minions are now but proving just how big a lie that is.

The IRS and the White House exchanged confidential taxpayer information and did so over personal e-mail accounts in an attempt to avoid being caught:

“Top Internal Revenue Service Obamacare official Sarah Hall Ingram discussed confidential taxpayer information with senior Obama White House officials, according to 2012 emails obtained by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and provided to The Daily Caller.

“Lois Lerner, then head of the IRS Tax Exempt Organizations division, also received an email alongside White House officials that contained confidential information.”

Good thing the IRS isn’t involved in Obamacare… oh,wait… they totally are!

At least the medical information will not be shared with “appropirate authorities” without permission or a warrent… oh, wait… they totally are: The Obamacare marketplace in Maryland requires people who use it to agree with its “terms and conditions.”  The policy talks about medical confidentiality, but then states:

“[W]e may share information provided in your application with the appropriate authorities for law enforcement and audit activities.”

     And further, that:

“If you send us an e-mail, we use the information you send us to respond to your inquiry. E-mail correspondence may become a public record. As a public record, your correspondence could be disclosed to other parties upon their request in accordance with Maryland’s Public Information Act.”

This is no fluke. The Federal healthcare exchanges “Terms and Conditions” source code includes the following:

You have no reasonable expectation of privacy regarding any communication or data transiting or stored on this information system. At any time, and for any lawful Government purpose, the government may monitor, intercept, and search and seize any communication or data transiting or stored on this information system. Any communication or data transiting or stored on this information system may be disclosed or used for any lawful Government purpose.

Yet Obama’s supporters will insist that it is those Tea Bagging Rethuglicans who want to invade your privacy.
