—–Act I—–
Liberal: Check out this thing.
Conservative: Nope… don’t like it.
L: Hate is ugly and oppressive. You have to tolerate it.
C: OK, fine, I’ll tolerate it.
—–Act II – A year later—-
L: Check out this thing.
C: That’s the thing from last year. I’m tolerating it.
L: Tolerance is hateful. You have to affirm.
C: Don’t wanna affirm. Look, I’m leaving it alone, okay?
L: No, you’re oppressing it with your hate.
C: OK, fine, I’ll affirm.
—–Act III – A year later—-
L: Check this thing out.
C: Fine, yes, I have to affirm the thing.
L: Affirmation isn’t enough. You must sanction, celebrate, and teach your children that it’s valid.
C: Seriously, just leave me the hell alone. I don’t want to do any of those things.
L: See you in court.
