The Senate showdown in New Jersey is certainly becoming entertaining. When asked about Newark Mayor and crypt0-Progressive Cory Booker’s intention to run for his seat, Sen. Frank Lautenberg replied as such:
“‘I have four children, I love each one of them. I can’t tell you that one of them wasn’t occasionally disrespectful, so I gave them a spanking and everything was OK,’ Lautenberg said with a smile in his first public comments since Booker announced he was considering a run for Senate.”
Booker, in turn seems poised to deliver a more public spanking of his own, as he leads Lautenberg 51-30.
A contentious primary would not prevent the eventual Democratic nominee from winning the Senate seat, but it might just tarnish Cory Booker enough to dim his chances of grabing absolute national power.
