The Best Girl In Science Is A Boy

A contest to find the best young girls in science, called “Pretty Curious” has been won by… a boy.

“EDF Energy has been criticised after a 13-year-old-boy won a competition that was part of a campaign to attract teenage girls to the fields of science, technology, engineering and maths.

“…

“[The] Pretty Curious programme is still aimed at girls, the UK competition was later opened up to all 11 to 16-year-olds.

“It continues to share the same website and branding as the girls’ scheme.

“The BBC understands that the decision had been made to open the competition up to both genders in the interests of fairness, and that the contest attracted “a couple of hundred” entries.

“Following three events held in the UK for girls last year, the contest was extended online and made available to boys as well.”

Maybe, juuust maybe, we should focus on encouraging everyone to try to learn science and innovate?  Maybe, juuust maybe, we should be encouraging the best and brightest regardless of whether they are male or female?

Poor White People Don’t Exist According to Bernie Sanders

Bernie Sanders demonstrated ignorance of reality (yet again) that is the hallmark of  White Progressives.  He went on to effectively declare that the millions of poor White people do not exist:

“When you are white, you don’t know what it’s like to be living in a ghetto, you don’t know what it’s like to be poor”

Quick Takes – Germany to Muslim Migrants: Offers of Youths; Offers of Jizya; Offers of Censorship

Another “quick takes” on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.

The focus this time: From Deutsches  Reich to Deutschistan

     First, a little mood music:

     Carrying on…

Inviting people into one’s country and trying to see if the faith of those you invite in can be assimilated onto one’s own culture is a moot point in Germany.  They’ve gone beyond multi-culti diversity…

A German politician called for not just the German state to help Muslim refugees/migrants, but for German youth to be pressing into service on behalf of said refugees/migrants (translated from German):

“The CDU Bundestag parliamentarian Eckhardt Rehberg has called a compulsory service for German youth due to the increasing numbers of asylum seekers. ‘We need the service duty. Otherwise we will not cope with the influx of refugees and their integration’.”

Better hope those underage tarts don’t corrupt Muslim men and entice them to rape

The State Department vs. Its Ultimate Foe: Microaggressions

The insanity of “microaggressions”, which are perceived slights that exist in the subject viewpoint of self-identifying victims, is no longer reserved for the madness that is academia.  Unsurprisingly, the same administration that declared that failure to affirm homosexuality as being something wonderful, even if one is tolerance and accepting of homosexuality, is tantamount to oppression, is now embracing the war on “microaggressions.”

“Following the example set by elite liberal universities, the U.S. State Department has begun cracking down on ‘microaggressions’ in the workplace. According to a newsletter from State Department chief diversity officer John Robinson, employees who commit ‘microaggressions’ may risk violating harassment laws in doing so.”

The Ides of March

Caesar:
Who is it in the press that calls on me?
I hear a tongue shriller than all the music
Cry “Caesar!” Speak, Caesar is turn’d to hear.

Soothsayer:
Beware the ides of March.

Caesar:
What man is that?

Brutus:
A soothsayer bids you beware the ides of March.

     A little mood music:

Survey Says: Kill All The Normal People

A special little snowflake has been taking a survey of other special little snowflakes on Tumblr (of course).  According to their totes scientific survey, 80% of people were “assigned” the female sex at birth, most people are neither male nor female, and that most  people are “otherkin”.

Another special little snowflake Tumblrina even went so far as to declare “We need to exterminate them, with our numbers we could overpower them easily”.

The College of Power and Liberation

Some Social Justice Warriors at Western Washington University have demands, and they’re important!!1!  These demands are nothing less than a demand for a modern-day Grand Soviet, Stasi, Red Guard, and Orwellian insanity all rolled up into one.

The so-called “Student Assembly for Power and Liberation” are demanding their own “College of Power and Liberation” to be controlled by the Social Justice Warriors themselves.

“In order to meet the growing needs and demands for educational opportunities that emerge from and contribute to movements for social justice, especially those that reflect the histories and experiences of marginalized peoples, we call for the creation and full implementation of the College of Power and Liberation. In addition to creating a community that can more effectively resist the type of events of last quarter, a College of Power and Liberation (CPL) will make Western Washington University a national leader in the development of academic programs that are committed to social justice.”

As part of this, they are demanding ten tenure track faculty to properly propagandize and indoctrinate, all of whom will be subject to the whims of the Social Justice Warrior students.  Of course they demand a brand new building for all of this, as well as a library of propaganda and pseudo-academic idiocy.

A slush fund for “underrepresented” students will be set up, as well as paying students to protest and otherwise be Social Justice Warriors.

While sequestering this madness is appealing, their demands include the power over the rest of the university to punish #WrongThink, and to receive money to “de-colonize” the campus…

“The College of Power and Liberation demands an annually dedicated revenue of $45,000 for compensation of students and faculty doing de-colonial work on campus. When this work is used for WWU promotion the student’s/faculty members must be contacted in order to give consent. If consent is not given, then the institution must respect such wishes. Any de- colonial work done by faculty must also go toward their annual review.”

Who will run this little camp of Stasi wannabes? Why a “15 persxn paid student committee”.  Clearly these idjits think that the words “person” and “son” are related and that women (sorry, “womyn”) aren’t “persons“.  And what will this committee do?

The Office for Social Transformation, to monitor, document, and archive all racist, anti- black, transphobic, cissexist, misogynistic, ablest, homophobic, islamophobic, and otherwise oppressive behavior on campus.”
