The American flag is one of the most visible and stirring symbols of this great country.
The Betsy Ross flag is one of the most iconic of America’s historical flags, and while some question the historical accuracy of the story of Betsy Ross and the flag, the deep and abiding symbolism and meaning are undeniable.
The Betsy Ross flag is also a reminder that rather than blindly “leaning forward,” we should, as many of American states expressed in their constitutions, “renew our selves to our founding principles.”
They are timeless principles, are ones that are rare in history.
