Flannel Is Now Racist

When asked what “equity” is or what “understand[ing] our system with an equity lens”, most school districts will be less than honest. When asked what isn’t “equity” you’ll hear the resounding cry of FLANNEL!!1!

     Why?

Because some residents at a public forum who criticized Critical Race Theory wore flannel.   Not most of the people at the public forum, just some of the people. This isn’t some “White Supremacist” symbol. It’s just people in the northern parts of the United States wearing… flannel.

This is what “White Supremacy” looks like.

Firing Line Friday: Is New York City Out from Under?

In the hopes of encouraging a more civil, and illuminating, discourse, here is another episode of William F. Buckley, Jr.’s “Firing Line”.

The City of New York began rapidly sliding back into the hellhole it was in the 1970s and 1980s under the previous Mayor of New York, Bill de Blasio, and despite a new Mayor, some question if this slide can be stopped. Let us look back upon the late 1990s when New York’s previous decline was stopped and even to a degree reversed, with William F. Buckley, Jr. and then-Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

What Does America Look Like?

Increasingly, companies are selectively hiring by race to achieve demographics that are supposed to “look like America”… but do they, really?

Quick Takes – Diagnosis Woke: American Medical Association Embraces “Equity”; Anti-racism Mandate For Pharmacists; Medical Meritocracy Ban

Another “quick takes” on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.

Take two privilege checks and text me in the morning.

     First, a little mood music:

     Carrying on…

Death, Rx

The American Medical Association and the Association of American Medical Colleges have decided that medicine is less important than woke narratives and “equity”.

Rhode Island To Children: Orgasms Are Awesome!

Why waste time failing to teach children how to read, write, or do arithmetic, when you can spend the time waxing poetic about how awesome sex feels, like Rhode Island is considering doing in House bill H 7166 (bold text added):

“Provided further, courses in family life or sex education shall be appropriate for students of all races, genders, sexual orientations, ethnic and cultural backgrounds; affirmatively recognize pleasure based sexual relations, different sexual orientations and be inclusive of same-sex relationships in discussions and examples. In addition, comprehensive course instruction shall include gender, gender expression, gender identity, and the harm of negative gender stereotypes.”

I certainly hope there won’t involve group projects or classroom demonstrations…

Coming soon to a Rhode Island school?

Perhaps what is frightening is just how vague this is. Rather than take any time to outline exactly what this means, this bill acts as an enabling act that leaves that to bureaucrats and pedagogical “experts”.   So, to beg the question: What are they hiding from parents and the public at large?

The Mayor of New York City Boasts: “I Kicked Those Crackers’ Ass”

After the disastrous eight years of Bill de Blasio and soaring crime, what will new Mayor Eric Adams focus on fixing? If this video from the then Brooklyn Borough President is any indication, its Social Justice, specifically checking Whitey’s privilege.

And the fuller context doesn’t make it any less obnoxious. If anything, his insistence barring people from government funds and contracts because the basis of their race and sex just makes it worse.

Woke Rape

A reasonable person might think that regardless of where one stands on the seemingly contentious issue of children having to wear masks in school, that at least it either scenario isn’t as bad as rape.

The people who run Stone Bridge High School are not reasonable people.

Disturbingly, this actually is consistent with the “logic” of the Critical Theory crowd, who view all interactions through oppressor/oppressed power dynamics.

Since transgenders are oppressed, they have no power, thus can’t be perpetrators/rapists and therefor can’t oppress “cis-het” girls. The oppressed have no responsibility or agency for what happened, since it is all the oppressors fault.

It is only “injustice” when it perpetuates systems of oppression and the power of the oppressors, while “justice” means nothing more than destroying those systems.

Therefor, under this ideology, a transgender raping a “cis-het” girl isn’t “rape” (since rape is what oppressors do to the oppressed), but a forgivable act of “justice” since it is a blow by an oppressed class (“trans”) against an oppressor class (“cis-het”).

Unwoke Black History Month

The “1619 Project” pushes the narrative that America is an oppressive regime that is all about oppressing Black individuals. Reality, on the other had, demonstrates that rather than being at its core oppressive, America was, is, and always will be a beacon of freedom and liberty for Blacks just as much as for other races. Multiple cases in point:
