A Third Party Proposal

     There has been much-a-rumbling from the right about ditching the Republican party for a new 3rd party due to the many recent sell-outs (or perceived sell-outs) of the voters that elected them in the last election.

     There are obvious concerns that a 3rd party would split the conservative vote, allowing Progressive Democrats to take full power.  On one hand, it is argued that the Republican leadership is de facto already giving the Democrats full power, and that it wouldn’t get much worse with Democrats in de jure control.  On the other hand, it would provide Progressive forces a unique opportunity to so “fundamentally transform” America, that any resultant conservative party would never be able to win an election.

     I propose the following test to determine if indeed a 3rd party is even possible in the best of situations:

     Demonstrate that a conservative third party can, for two consecutive elections, either 1). Take over the Louisiana Senate; 2). Take over the Louisiana House of Representatives; or 3). Win a majority of Louisiana’s delegation to the House.

     Do that and you will have proven to me that a 3rd party is a viable replacement for the Republican party.

     Why Louisiana? It is a conservative state with a “Jungle Primary” that precludes a Leftist from winning a conservative seat with a plurality of the vote due to the conservative vote being split between GOP and 3rd Party.

Brainwashing and Sexual Orientation

     Laws banning discrimination against people because of their race are considered legitimate in large part because race was an innate factor that didn’t matter. It protected against discrimination against what you innately were, not your chosen behavior.

     Having sex with someone of the same sex that your were was a chosen behavior because sex is a choice — which is why rape is a crime where mens rea can be established. The repeal of anti-Sodomy laws was based on the claim that homosexual activity was a choice, and not some mental deviancy or disease.

     Later, it was claimed that someone who is homosexual was “born that way” and thus deserving of the same protections as race.

One out of three ain't bad...

     Now, however, with Gay “rights” having been established, the very basis for establishing those rights is being denied by… gays and lesbians. Much like Kohn wishing that her child grows up gay, the entire “born that way” argument is being tossed aside and replaced with a desire that a child “becomes” gay. Another example:

“At ages 10 and 8, my son and daughter don’t have the concept of romantic relationships in their mind yet, but in a few years, I know that I’m going to have to start paying closer attention to their friends, and possibly their dating life. While ultimately it is their choice, I sincerely hope that they see how great of a relationship that my partner and I have and follow in our footsteps.

“My ex-husband does not like the idea at all. Thankfully, my partner Rachel is a lawyer and has helped me win primary custody of our children. Because of this, my children do not have to be constantly barraged by his negative rhetoric dealing with LGBTQ issues, or his negative opinion of my partner and myself.

“I have done what I can to get my children more involved with the pride movement. I feel like the key is to get them brainwashed into seeing same-sex relationships on the same level of heterosexual relationships before they start getting into a relationship themselves. It doesn’t matter if a child cannot naturally be conceived in a same-sex relationship, the concept of biological conception is bigoted in general, and society as a whole needs to move away from such things.”

Lee-Rubio Tax Reform Proposal

     Senators Mike Lee (R-UT) and Marco Rubio (R-FL) have proposed an overhaul of the tax code:

“The proposal would cut the business tax rate to 25 percent (including for all pass-through business income, so that large and small businesses pay the same rate); end the taxation of capital gains, dividends, and interest; allow businesses to deduct capital investments from their taxable income immediately rather than over time; and move to a territorial tax system. The combination of these reforms would bring us closer to a consumption tax base on the business side, and would make for a dramatically more growth-oriented tax system precisely where today’s tax system most obstructs the economy’s performance.

“On the individual side, Lee and Rubio would bring the top rate back to Bush tax cut levels and consolidate today’s tax brackets into two (at 15 percent and that top 35 percent rate), but business income would be taxed at 25 percent and income from savings would not be taxed. They would also repeal the Alternative Minimum Tax and most of the deductions in the code (leaving only the charitable deduction and a capped mortgage interest deduction that would both be available to all taxpayers, not just those who itemize). They would then replace today’s standard deduction with a $2,000 individual ($4,000 per married couple) credit, end the marriage penalty in the tax code, and provide a new $2,500 per child credit (alongside the existing $1,000 credit, which phases out with income) to offset some of the over-taxation of parents in our system—providing very broad-based tax relief, including for families mostly burdened by the payroll tax rather than the income tax since the credit applies against both. “

Is Obama a Dictator?

     But what about Congress… which is supposed to write the law?

     At this point I think we can finally admit that Congress has ceased to be a branch of government.

     At most, they pass enabling acts.

Diplomacy with a Regime that has Declared their Intent to Destroy You, Isn’t

     Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to a joint session of Congress to give fair warning of the intent of Iranian leaders. Unsurprisingly, all the usual suspects threw a hissy-fit. Why did they have a hissy-fit? Because doubting that diplomatic solutions with a regime that had openly declared their intent to commit genocide somehow totes bad!

Coming Out Is A One Way Street

     Now-a-days, a person who “comes out of the closet” as homosexual is lauded as a brave individual!  In contrast someone who has come to the conclusion that they aren’t really Gay is condemned as a monster.  Even the Federal courts have rules that that is totes OK!

     With such hypocrisy established, just image the outrage if the situations were reversed in the following rant by Sally Kohn, a lesbian talking head and blithering idiot, who has recently lamented that her daughter isn’t embracing lesbianism, and in fact is “boy crazy”… while being six years old.

“She said: ‘I’m gay. And I want my kid to be gay, too.'”

     Imagine any celebrity or big name saying this to nodding head rather than pitch-fork wielding mobs!  If anyone declared that “I’m straight.  And I want my kid to be straight, too”, the outrage would be worthy of nationally broadcast rants!
