What happens when intersectional Marxism tries to intertwine labor, class, sexuality, and a dash of feminism?
This is according to an associate professor of women’s studies at the University of Victoria. The abstract of her published paper “Mapping the hobosexual: A queer materialism” is a word-salad of intersection Marxist drivel:
“The following article introduces the hobosexual as a concept in queer materialism. Mapped at the intersection of not-for-profit hobo sex and labor practices historically, the hobosexual collapses the apparent impasse between the material and the symbolic so prevalent in queer studies. The concept represents the redeployment of queer as anti-capitalist practice; highlighted are the non-normative hobo practices of nonproductive expenditure, but also the recognition that these abnormalities are organized by capitalist systems of normalization designed to engender profit. The article also considers the degree to which industrial capitalism affected both hobo mobility and hobo anti-capitalist practice in the 19th century. Generated out of hobo history and queer as anti-capitalist practice, the hobosexual represents resistance to capitalist systems of normalization and enables connections, not necessarily between identities, but between anti-capitalist practices generated out of difference.”

A full word-for-word fisking of any academic paper invoking Marxism and/or intersectionality is impossible due to the vast majority of such writing being mindless fluff and jargon intended to give the illusion of non-idiocy. However a highlight of the main points of nonsense will be enough to demonstrate the gist of the paper: Hobos fought Capitalism by not only being hobos, but using other hobos as masturbatory aides… especially with little boys.
“In mapping what I call the hobosexual, I am in excellent company”
Yah, the jokes write themselves. Continuing on, Tapley is so bold as to admit that “the hobosexual, in other words, does not represent every hobo, but a partial truth of hobo history”. But what is that “partial truth”? That the hobos were explicitly smashing Capitalism. How? By engaging in “not-for profit practices of sexuality”. What does this mean? According to classical Marxist doctrine “expenditures” are divided into “profitable expenditures” which are limited to making money for plutocrats to swim around in like Scrooge McDuck in his money bin, and into “non-profitable expenditures” which apparently includes hobos getting sexual gratification from other hobos. This apparently also involved “queer Marxist feminism”.
