Transing the Cake

The Masterpiece Cakeshop, after winning the Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission case this year at the Supreme Court, discovered that the same biased Colorado Civil Rights Commission is going after the baker again, this time for not helping celebrate transgenderism as desired by a lawyer who sprung this on the very same day that the Supreme Court ruled.

“On the very day the Supreme Court decided to hear Masterpiece Cakeshop (June 26, 2017), a caller asked the bakery to make a cake with a pink inside and a blue outside, celebrating a gender transition from male to female. The shop politely declined, but Phillips believes that the same lawyer, on other occasions, requested that he create other custom cakes with messages that violate his faith — a cake celebrating Satan and a cake with Satanic symbols. The lawyer, a man identifying as a woman, goes by the name Autumn Scardina.

“Shortly after the Supreme Court gave Jack Phillips his win, denouncing the Colorado Civil Rights Commission for “religious hostility,” the state began to investigate Phillips again, finding probable cause that he had discriminated against the transgender lawyer who Phillips believes placed the call.”

One of the justifications for going after Masterpiece Cakeshop was that the baker would bake wedding cakes for opposite-sex couples, and thus was discriminating based on some protected status. This is completely different since the baker, to your humble authors knowledge, ever baked a cake for anyone that celebrated a persons “gender” (being something separate and distinct from biological sex), as opposed to their biological sex such as with an announcement regarding a baby’s biological sex).

With all the persecuting of cake makers, et al., and such persecution going so far as to not just refuse to celebrate a wedding but to those who didn’t want to express an explicit political message concerning legislation, this new persecution is not surprising.

Venezuela: Purging the Military; Purging Basic Necessities; Purging the People from Venezuela Itself

What better excuse to make potential dissenters within a regime disappear than a gold old fashioned assassination attempt? Why, none, of course. Whether this drone attack was a “false flag” operation or an honest attempt to get ride of Venezuela’s own anal boil is irrelevant at this point, ‘twould seem.

Meanwhile, as Maduro enjoys getting rid of enemies, the people of Venezuela continue their ever downward spiral of suffering, now without any way to save dying infants, or even without water! That entire Venezuelan states are without electric power for days is of no concern to the tyrant Maduro.

And how does Maduro deal with this? By laughably hiding the hyper-inflation by ordering a 96% devaluation of its currency! Of course, the Bolivar as currency is probably the last thing that the resurgence of pirates (yes, actual pirates of the Caribbean, and not the Disney-fied version) who are plaguing the people.

Quick Takes – Leviathan as Parent: Racializing Patriotism; Trans in Kindergarten; Medical Ownership

Another “quick takes” on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.

The focus this time: Putting the “loco” in “In Loco Parentis”

     First, a little mood music:

     Carrying on…

Those who believe that the children are for Leviathan (or at least the enlightened synapses/persons thereof) to raise have to get the kids early before the parents can have too much influence…

“Parents don’t usually send their kids to kindergarten telling them not to believe anything their teacher tells them. Nor are parents aware of every message conveyed to their children in school. Occasionally, yes, but all would be impossible unless they attended school with their child.

“Even if parents were to attend occasional classes, the propaganda would be difficult to notice. That’s how indoctrination into left-wing ideology works – like Chinese water torture, one drop at a time.

“This slow brainwashing was on display in Iowa this week when students from one high school apologized to another for wearing red, white and blue to a basketball game. Yes, you read that right. They apologized for wearing the colors of the American flag to a game.

“Why would students from Valley High School need a mea culpa for a display of patriotism they routinely make throughout the year? Because at this particular game, they were playing Des Moines North High School, and North has some players who ‘are from refugee families.'”

When Natural and Normal is Problematic

Human beings are a sexually dimorphic species, with physical and actual physiological differences, whose continued survival as a species necessitates biological males and biological females engage in a congress of the sexes (i.e. coitus) and both our biological drive and beneficial social inclinations are geared towards reproducing and maximizing the conditions for making such reproductive acts, and children born therefrom, fruitful and beneficial towards the continuation and success of the species. In other words wanting bang someone of the opposite sex is natural and normal.

This is obvious and the vast majority of people throughout time and the world understood this as a matter of fact.

However, some people have become so “educated” as to have learned ignorance. Such is the case with Karen L. Blair and Rhea Ashley Hoskin from St. Francis Xavier University and Queen’s University, respectively, in Canada who opined in the “Journal of Social and Personal Relationships” about “Transgender exclusion from the world of dating“.

The results are unsurprising to all but indoctrinated:

“Virtually all heterosexuals excluded trans folks from their dating pool: only 1.8% of straight women and 3.3% of straight men chose a trans person of either binary gender. But most non-heterosexuals weren’t down for dating a trans person either, with only 11.5% of gay men and 29% of lesbians being trans-inclusive in their dating preferences. Bisexual/queer/nonbinary participants (these were all combined into one group) were most open to having a trans partner, but even among them, almost half (48%) did not select either ‘trans man’ or ‘trans woman.’

“Of the seven participants who themselves identified as transgender or nonbinary, 89% [presumably this was meant to be 86%, or approximately six out of seven] were willing to date another trans person.

“Romantic relationships are one of the most important sources of social support for adults. The fact that most cis people would not consider trans people as potential dating partners is yet another serious risk factor for increased psychological and physical health problems among the trans population.”

Most men like women who know they’re women and most women like men who know they are men. How is it shocking that a sexually dimorphic species that perpetuates itself through men and women making babies would have most members of that species interested in… making babies, which is something that requires both a biological male and a biological female. Further, how is it shocking with physical and actual physiological differences both genetic and social inclinations of each sex would be different than the other in regards to what would be (or be perceived to be) most desirable in the other sex?

Ten Reasons We’re Against Unions: A Fisking

As in most things, one can have a reasonable debate over issues. However, sometimes there is such idiocy, such as this pithy little cartoon regarding unions, that deserve… a fisking!

A fisking! A fisking!

     And on to the belittlement…

Union bosses do want to line their own pockets. Many labor union employees have their own labor union to protect them against the union bosses and the membership of said unions.

Unlike unions, who only care for a portion of one’s paycheck, an employer cares about what an employee contributes in actual value to the company and the union. This is not to say that all employers are selfless individuals, but only that they care more about the employee than most union bosses.

When, in most of our lifetimes, has a union had a positive contribution to a workers life, aside from some pampered drivelity? Most companies are small companies that can not afford to guarantee a lifetime of free stuff without a guarantee of a return on investment or at least the promise thereof.

The “Pay Gap” is a myth. By many metrics, women are doing better than men.

What’s Not Beyond The Pale Is Within It

It has become increasingly popular to unperson individuals for wrongthink because merely holding dissenting beliefs puts one beyond the pale of social acceptability. The corollary to this, of course, is that if you set up that standard that what you do or do not allow is coincident with one’s personal values, then anything not eschewed is accepted consistent with, or at least considered acceptable enough to, your moral values.

This has led to companies such as Amazon, eBay, Google, and PayPal to affirm Communism, the Nazis, and the murder of LGBTQ&c. individuals when they allowed such ideas, goods, and expressions, while expressing moral outrage with a Confederate flag or non-Trans-friendly toilets.

The West Hollywood city council now joins this list of histrionic hypocrisy with their call to remove permanently Donald Trump’s star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“West Hollywood City Council has voted ‘unanimously’ to approve a resolution urging Los Angeles City Council and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to permanently remove Donald Trump’s Walk of Fame star.

“The star, which was unveiled in 2007, has been vandalized numerous times and completely destroyed twice. The most recent destruction came in late July when 24-year-old Austin Mikel Clay allegedly took a pickaxe to it.”

Yet they didn’t bother to ask for the removal of Kevin Spacey‘s star despite his pedophilia scandal, or even that of Bill Cosby, who is a convicted rapist.

If Donald Trump is beyond the pale for “the separation of children from their parents at the border, the denial of the impacts from climate change on the word, Trump’s treatment of transgender individuals and the denial of findings from the intelligence community of Russian interference in the 2016 election”, then how can actual rape not also be beyond the pale? Does the West Hollywood city council actually approve of such things? Or does it just have a double standard whereby those who share their political views are given carte blanche to do as they will while political unpersons are to be condemned for whatever excuse can be thought up at one moment or the next?

Tech Overlords of Silicon Valley: Gay Frogs and the Silencing of Dissent

…or, whither free speech?

Less than a dozen tech companies have accumulated a de facto monopoly on communication and the ready exchange of information. Increasingly, more and more people, not only in tech, but in politics and elsewhere desire to eschew the principles of free speech, let alone the more narrow legal limitations of the 1st Amendment.

While online forums and a variety of sites where users can post their own content have long had some standards for which violating them could get a user banned, they have typically been for illegal or abusive behavior. However, in this brave new world, merely holding incorrect ideas is enough to be declared an unperson whose mere existence is considered a clear and present danger. From the veritable R. Stacy McCain to, more recently, Gavin McInnes, people hated by the Left are being banned here, there, and everywhere.

While such bannings have become common place enough to almost be expected as a matter of course, the banning of InfoWars conspiracist (and bane of Gay frogs everywhere) Alex Jones across a half dozen or so platforms within hours of each other underscored not only the monomaniacal narrow-minded worldview of our tech overlords, but of the systemic and institutional will and power to uniformly silence dissent; now that’s institutional privilege.

The particulars regarding the situation of Alex Jones’ near internet platform-wide banning have been covered elsewhere.

While the banning of Alex Jones almost simultaneously across so many different platforms suggests a coordinated act of collusion, it does not prove it. While it would not be surprising for there to be actual collaboration amongst the tech oligarchs—be it as simple as a tech equivalent of “JournoList” or something more subtly sub rosa—perhaps a lack of active coordination indicates something far more invidious: A “Stand Alone Complex“, whereby individual “stand alone” actors reinforce each other towards a common goal while keeping potential dissenters in line—all without need to not only not coordinate, but even without the need to understand the particularities of the others decisions and actions. A handful of ideologically aligned tech companies hold and oligarchy of information, and can independently take cues from each other without need for coordination; this is actually far more dangerous than actual coordination.
