A parent review committee, created by the Utah legislature, to review the Common Core curricula are being asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement to stop them from discussing the materials they are to review.
This prohibition is allegedly meant to prevent parents from telling other parents about specific test questions, but the “broader ban on public discussion undermines the whole point of having a committee.”
As one state Senator noted: “Why wouldn’t you allow a process where (parents) could say, ‘This is the dumbest thing imaginable and this is why’?”
Probably because they might warn parents of idiocy like these:
