The Obama administration has finally released the “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Rule” (AFFH). In effect, it gives the Obama administration the power to fundamentally transform American neighborhoods in the visage of a delusional Progressive utopia.
“AFFH gives the federal government a lever to re-engineer nearly every American neighborhood — imposing a preferred racial and ethnic composition, densifying housing, transportation, and business development in suburb and city alike, and weakening or casting aside the authority of local governments over core responsibilities, from zoning to transportation to education. Not only the policy but the political implications are immense — at the presidential, congressional, state, and local levels.

“Fundamentally, AFFH is an attempt to achieve economic integration. Race and ethnicity are being used as proxies for class, since these are the only hooks for social engineering provided by the Fair Housing Act of 1968.”
It makes the assumption that any divergence from proportional equality is due to racism, and thus requiring state and local governments to bow down to the Obama administration.
“The new rule takes this a step further and requires cities across the country to scrutinize their housing patterns for racial bias and report the results every three to five years. Communities would also have to set and track goals to further reduce segregation.”
