What Have You Ever Conserved?

That retort of “what have you ever conserved” oft spouted by both the Alt-Right and the more emotional Johnny-come-latelys to the root of the struggle against the Fabian Left and their Gramscian march, is an obnoxious, and usually ignorant, thing.

Often the targets of this taunt are accused of being “soy boy beta males”, “Fredo-cons”, “cucks”, or selling out America in order to be invited to Leftist “cocktail parties”. After all, the taunters might claim, there must be a reason that the taunted aren’t running around like headless chicken demanding that we “do something NOW”. They seem to believe that the Left doesn’t actually play by any rules, and that we should fight back without restriction like the Left does… all the while not realizing that those social rules and boundaries are indeed helping to impede the Left and thus actually conserve something from the Left’s grasp.

In other words, the “what have you conserved” type arguments are based on an incorrect premise, namely the idea the assumption that the Left and Right are on equal footing and that the Left only wins because they play dirty while the Right plays “fair” if not loses on purpose.

The conservative movement has increasingly stood up to the broader Left more in the past 50 years than in the 50 years proceeding that. It only seems the other way around because longer ago we had more to give up in attrition. All we had 100 years ago or so was “normalcy” to appeal to and descriptive tenets that were already being rotted by the Left’s prospective goals. There was not cohesive conservative ideology let-alone organized movement. “Conservatism”, even into the ’30’s was merely a rejection of the Left’s economic command/control economy.

Sussing out the Left’s goals and what the conservative opposition is didn’t happen until the cold war. In other words, the Left used to have unrivaled momentum and had successfully infiltrated institutions via the “Gramscian march”. Against such momentum and fundamental transformation, any resistance against the Left is equates to something conserved. Against such institutional empowerment and movement momentum, actual victories and counter transformations of society may seem like a loss because the immediate outcomes show only a slowing of the Left’s relentless drive.

The transformation of fundamental precepts is necessary to counter the Left, and the transformation of such precepts may not show immediate reversals of any large magnitude… yet still, they are conserving. That there have been massive victories seems to escape some. Take, for example, 2nd Amendment. Less than 50 years ago almost every Constitutional lawyer in any potion of power would have told you that it wasn’t an individual right. Yet, today, the Supreme Court recognizes that it is. That didn’t happen overnight by “fighting dirty”. It happened because people took the time to change the fundamentals to the point where their argument was a fait accompli.

A Paragon of Modern Academia: White People (& Other Undesirables) F**k Off

A university in the Canadian city of Halifax, which has an indigenous population of 0.00%, is refusing to hire anyone who isn’t a “racially visible, Indigenous candidate” for a top position:

“Dalhousie University is restricting its search for a new senior position to racially visible and Indigenous candidates in an effort to make the institution more diverse.

“In an email to the university community, provost and vice-president academic Carolyn Watters wrote that ‘community consultation is essential to the success of the search’ for a new vice-provost student affairs.

“‘In keeping with the principles of our employment equity policy, and with an aim to increase the representation of under-represented groups at Dalhousie, this search for a new vice-provost student affairs will be restricted to racially visible persons and Aboriginal peoples at this time,’ she wrote.”

Republicans should be terrified

In this world of hyper-partisan news vs. “fake news”, it is easy to become over confident and replace any critical thinking skills with “feelz” and assume political outcomes based on little more than faith.

In that vein a fair warning regarding over confidence to Republicans:

“Too many Republican voters are overly optimistic about November.

“If Hillary Clinton were president, Heller and Republican Attorney General Adam Laxalt, running for governor, would be shoo-ins. Republicans — angry and scared about the future — would turn out in droves. That’s what happened in 2010 and 2014.

“If you’re a Republican, remember that feeling — and realize that Democrats are having those same feelings, only in reverse. There’s a real chance November sees a Democratic tidal wave.”

This isn’t to say that anything that happens tin November is set in stone, but only that  perhaps Republicans should be worried that the Democrats have demonstrated in both special and regular general elections demonstrated an ability to organize, coordinate, and turn-out far beyond what Republicans have demonstrated in actual elections.  That polls mostly show that the Democrats are far more likely to turn out and vote should just hammer home that the inverse of the common wisdom of the past few decades (or more) is more than just “fake news”.

Quick Takes – Cultural Appropriation: De-appropriating Teaching; De-appropriating College; De-appropriating Yourself

Another “quick takes” on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.

The focus this time: De-Appropriate All The Things!!1!

First, a little bit of mood music:

     Carrying on…

The fact that there are so many more female teachers than males is considered a “nothingburger”, yet the fact that White people teach at all is considered institutional racism or something…

“DiAngelo also asked groups to answer: ‘When is the first time you had a teacher of the same race[s] as you? How often did that happen? When did you first have a teacher of a different race than you?'”

For the record, I didn’t have any regular teacher who was (observably) European until I was nine.

And all this came from a White professor who has become famous for hating White people.

“The white professor who quit her full-time position to tour the country, leading seminars on ‘white fragility,’ asked for whites in the room to come forward.

“About 15 people walked to the stage and each one read a quote from the projection screen that addressed their “internalized superiority,” “racial privilege” and other deficiencies as whites.

“When they finished reading, the professor told the audience to “not clap” for the white people as they returned to their seats. She announced there would be no question-and-answer session.”

And just to make sure that Whitey doesn’t Bogart that morally pure non-Whiteness

“An Oxford college has become the first to introduce compulsory classes on “cultural appropriation” for students.

“Magdalen College will run the mandatory workshops for freshers starting from next year, where they will be taught about racism, institutional racism, cultural appropriation and implicit bias.

“The move follows a series of rows about racism and cultural appropriation at the university.”

The Woke White-Free Future of the BBC

The BBC, like many organizations, recruits and has internships for young adults. For example:

“Are you looking to gain experience at the heart of broadcast journalism? Do you have an understanding of the subjects affecting 16-25 year olds? This could be the role for you…

“Newsbeat is the flagship news programme on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra. Newsbeat is produced by BBC News but differs from the BBC’s other news programmes in its remit to provide news tailored for a specifically younger audience.

“The successful trainee will be passionate and engaged in the world of journalism and will also offer a different perspective on stories that affect the key target audience of 16-25 year-olds.”

So, just what type of future leader with “different perspective[s]” is the BBC looking for?

“This traineeship is only open to candidates from a black, Asian or non-white ethnic minority background”

The Right of Every Free Adult

The right to keep and bear arms ought to be interminably linked with the right to vote. After all, if we can’t trust someone with a personal arm, then how can we trust them with the power of law over all of us?

Once one had reached the age of majority, they are an adult and ought to be free to exercise all of their rights. As citizens, this means that once you hit 18, you may legally vote thanks to the 26th Amendment guaranteeing it. Yet another, more fundamental and more ancient, right is denied 18 to 20 year old citizens who have never lost their freedom due to criminal activity nor have been adjudicated as incapable of running their own lives due to mental illness or mental handicap: “The right to keep and bear arms” when it comes to handguns, which is also protected by the Constitution.

Thankfully, one Congressmen wishes to correct this denial of rights to adult Americans:

The right to personal arms is a right going back to pre-Norman England where any freeman had the right to personal arms, including the Seax, the “assault pistol” of its time.

Google vs. Witches

Self-Declared “Witches“, usually of the Tumblr variety, have always prided themselves as being on the side of social justice or Bernie Sanders, while being against the long-gone Confederate States of America, gentrification, or Donald Trump.

Now, they have to fight an unexpected enemy: Google.

“There is no scientific evidence that magic exists, but thousands of people involved in witchcraft are convinced they can make magic potions and cast spells using materials found in our natural environment.

“[Marian Green, 77, a seasoned white witch and author] said: ‘Technology is killing magic. We do not need to be separated from the natural world, but an awful lot of young people grow up today distanced from nature.

“‘Young people don’t go outside. When I was a kid there was no technology and I spent all day outside.’

“She said schools may teach children about the woods, but they might go home and say ‘Mum, what is an oak tree?'”

Quick Takes – Genderbending the Children: In Psychology; With Child-Sized Fake Penises; Against Christian Parents

Another “quick takes” on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.

The focus this time: Trans All the Children!

First, a little bit of mood music:

     Carrying on…

Once upon a time, doctors tried to treat patients and not feed into their self-destructive delusions

” More than a decade ago, pediatrician Michelle Cretella treated a male patient named ‘Andy.’ Andy enjoyed playing with girls’ toys and made friends with girls more easily than with boys. He was eventually referred to a therapist for his gender confusion.

“According to Cretella, the breakthrough came when Andy told the therapist that he believed his parents would love him more if he were a girl. Cretella claims that the therapist looked further into this admission and found that Andy’s confusion may have stemmed from the birth of his little sister, who had special needs and required a lot of attention from parents. The theory was that Andy gravitated toward girly behavior to get the attention of potentially neglectful parents.

“Though Cretella did not discuss the ultimate resolution to Andy’s gender confusion, she said that today a patient like Andy would be wrongfully referred to a gender specialist or clinic instead of a therapist. The treatment, she said, would be focused on supporting that child’s inclination toward the opposite sex, which could lead to more extreme treatment in adolescence like hormone blockers and organ modification.”
