The Normalization of HIV

Back in the 1970’s, the band KISS added samples of their own blood to ink that was to be used in KISS comic books. This was considered awesome by fans of KISS because it was like buying part of the band, even though the only thing one would get from it was the feeling of awesomeness.

Now, the German magazine “Vangardist” is doing something similar, except instead of using blood from an awesome and legendary band, they are using HIV+ blood in order to fight “serophobia” and the fear of getting HIV and AIDS…

“‘With this unique project, we want to create a response in a heartbeat by transforming the media into the very root of the stigma itself – by printing every word, line, picture and page of the magazine with blood from HIV+ people,’ Saatchi & Saatchi Executive Creative Director Jason Romeyko said in a press release. ‘By holding the issue, readers are immediately breaking the taboo.’

“…

“Ending the stigma surrounding HIV is vital to eradicating the virus, health experts say. A culture of prejudice and shame can deter people from getting tested, prevent carriers from disclosing their HIV status to sexual partners and make it difficult for prevention programs to operate in broader community settings, according to studies.”

Removing the stigma of a sexually transmitted deadly disease with no cure leads not to eradicating HIV, but in people openly celebrating it, such as with the Gay community amongst homosexual men, including some men known as “bug chasers” who receive “the gift” by being the recepeint of anal intercourse with a HIV positive “gift giver”.

Firing Line Friday: The Culture of the Left

In the hopes of encouraging a more civil, and illuminating, discourse, here is another episode of William F. Buckley, Jr.’s “Firing Line”.

If one wants to counter the Left, one needs to grok the Left. Even over fifty years ago, some have understood the need to understand the culture of the Left, as Buckley does with Malcolm Muggeridge.

Quick Takes – Sex & Gender: Admitting Biological Reality; Sex-Based Inequality of Transpersons; F**k “Science”

Another “quick takes” on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.

The focus this time: Losing Xyr’s Transgender Faith

     First, a little mood music:

     Carrying on…

In order for “transgenders” to be a protected class in the vein of race or ethnicity, it must be assumed that one’s declared “gender identity” is unalterable. No wonder then that the greatest threat to the transgender movement are… those who admit their transgender identities were WRONG.

“I believe that gender identity is a fraud perpetrated by psychiatry, the likes of something the United States and other nations hasn’t experienced since the lobotomy era. As a result, I have returned to my male birth sex.

“On January 25, 2019, in the State of Florida, the Marion County Department of Motor Vehicles in Ocala, Florida issued me a male driver’s license. Ocala, Florida has been my home since July 2018.

“In the days ahead, I will be taking further steps to restore my birth sex to male more formally.

“In my thirty plus year marriage, I am the husband. To my daughter, I am her Father. I no longer identify as a transgender or non-binary person and renounce all ties to transgenderism.

“I will not be a party to advancing harmful gender ideologies that are ruining lives, causing deaths and contributing to the sterilization and mutilation of gender-confused children.”

Stopping Spoon-related Violence in the U.K.

The British Police, who are already a laughing stock of the civilized world by prioritizing the threat of mis-gendering or sex-slave rings, are not only dealing with the threat of the private ownership of pointy objects or… whisks… but now, thanks to the Regents Park Police, also the scourge of… spoons and small non-sharp tent-pegs/dull-Allen wrenches (or something).

The Call For Global Governance Is Real

Transnational organizations, especially global ones, are run by representatives chosen by a nation’s government and/or bureaucrats. While some more regional transnational bodies such as the European Union have “Parliament members” that are kinda/supposedly chosen by the voters, such representatives tend to be of the “rubber stamp” variety.

There is an open and ongoing movement to bring parliamentary representation to the United Nations, with over a thousand and a half current and former members of national parliaments from most of the countries on Earth endorsing such an idea.

“The bodies of the UN and international organizations are occupied by officials who are appointed by the executive branches of national governments. In view of the growing importance of international organizations and their decisions, this is no longer sufficient.

“A United Nations Parliamentary Assembly (UNPA) for the first time would give popularly elected representatives a formal role in global affairs. As an additional body, the assembly will directly represent the world’s citizens and not governments.

“Initially, states could choose whether their UNPA members would come from national parliaments, reflecting their political spectrum and gender equality, or whether they would be directly elected. Eventually, the goal is to have all members directly elected.”

This isn’t some “black helicopter”/Stonecutter lever conspiracy, but an open call and declaration.

But the United States of America wouldn’t participate in some transnational scheme where “parliamentarians” were selected, for example, from Congress, right?

Wrong. This is already the case with the NATO Parliament.

One of the interesting things is that such eventual direct parliamentary selection fits in with the proposed “Constitution for the Federation of Earth” pushed by “World Parliamentarians” which involved a tricameral parliament, two of which are national representatives and “people’s representatives”; the last branch would consist of undemocratically selected “experts” and elites, not dissimilar to what is seen in the European Union today—with the E.U., perhaps, serving as a type of trial run for a much wider application of such political governing precepts.

Oh well, at least knowing that we are living in the Mirror Universe means we have scantily clad and sexy yeomen to look forward too…

California vs. Dialysis Patients

In the campaign to “make healthcare a right”, the state of California is considering a bill that would… stop dialysis treatment to thousands who need it.

AB 290 will cut reimbursement rates private insurance companies pay to cover dialysis care. These reimbursement rates are crucial to dialysis facilities because Medicare does not cover the full cost of care for treating dialysis patients.

“Reduced payments may force numerous facility closures, especially in rural and underserved areas. As a result, many patients will be required to find new dialysis centers, some of which will be much further away from their current facility. In addition, less money will be available for dialysis providers to donate to patients that rely on charitable assistance, which helps patients better afford their healthcare costs.”

     It gets worse:

“At age 50, I depend on a charitable financial grant from the nonprofit American Kidney Fund to help pay for my daily at-home dialysis. Without the grant, I cannot afford the treatment. Without the treatment, I will die. Assembly Bill 290 […] will force AKF to cease operating its program in California, hurting me and the more than 3,700 Californians who rely on its financial assistance.

“This is because provisions in AB 290 conflict with the strict federal guidelines under which AKF operates and, rather than risk its operations nationwide, AKF will simply stop offering assistance in California.”

Firing Line Friday: The Rising Tide of Islam

In the hopes of encouraging a more civil, and illuminating, discourse, here is another episode of William F. Buckley, Jr.’s “Firing Line”.

The question of the rise of Islam, particularly in Europe today, has been the focus of the West for decades, as evidenced by Buckley’s interview with P. J. Vatikiotis, Gabriel Warburg, and Gabriel Ben-Dor.
