Quick Takes – The Academic Purging Of Whites: Purging Racist Colonials With Non-Racist Whales; Racist Emancipators of Slave; Racist Conquerors Of Germans

Another “quick takes” on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.

     The focus this time: Leukophobia!

     First, a little mood music:

     Carrying on…

Colonials are considered evil White oppressors, while whales are known for being hippies of the sea or something…

“Western Connecticut State University is considering changing its ‘Colonials’ mascot to a new moniker that ‘better reflects WCSU.’

“A petition has accumulated more than 300 signatures advocating for the removal of the current mascot and replacing it with a new one. According to the petition, the signatories ‘want to leave the outdated term, Colonials, behind as it is representative of ethnic violence, genocide, racism, and white male privilege.’

“Instead of being the Colonials, the petition asks that the university switch its name to the ‘Whales.’

“‘Whales are associated with compassion and solitude, and knowledge of both life and death,’ reasons the petition. ‘They are also associated with unbridled creativity. The exhalation through the blowhole symbolizes the freeing of one’s own creative energies. Sound is also a creative force of life.’”

Captain Ahab hardest hit…

Nothing says “oppression” more than leading a war against slave owners and liberating from the shackles of slavery millions of people.

“It sounds trite to say that some news item sounds like it came from a satirical publication, but how else does one explain jettisoning Abraham Lincoln for lack of wokeness? Two words: ‘San Francisco.’ The city’s school board ordered the removal of names from schools that honored historical figures with ‘offensive histories,’ which includes the Great Emancipator who ended slavery in the US.

“No, really”

Apparently the racism of “Whiteness” is best destroyed by pulling down statues of people who… fought, conquered, and “privilege checked” the whitest of Whites: Celtic and Germanic tribes.

“Caesar Augustus represents ‘icon of colonial and imperial domination’

“A Brown University student group, Decolonization at Brown, wants the school to remove two Roman statues displayed on campus, claiming the statues represent white supremacy and colonialism.

“The student group at the Ivy League university in Rhode Island has lobbied the school’s Undergraduate Council of Students to support its initiative to remove of statues of Roman Emperors Caesar Augustus and Marcus Aurelius.

“Removing the statues ‘is one step in a broader project of decolonization by confronting Brown’s institutional and ideological legacies of colonialism and white supremacy,’ members of the group wrote in The Blognonian, a student publication at the university.”

Math Equity

Because balanced equations are racist or something?

An explicitly not-named group backed by various public school boards, universities, private organizations and funded in large part by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have released “A Pathway to Equitable Math Instruction”, which is a resource and guidance to “support Black, LatinX, and Multilingual students to thrive in grades 6-8.

“A Pathway to Equitable Math Instruction is an integrated approach to mathematics that centers Black, Latinx, and Multilingual students in grades 6-8, addresses barriers to math equity, and aligns instruction to grade-level priority standards. The Pathway offers guidance and resources for educators to use now as they plan their curriculum, while also offering opportunities for ongoing self-reflection as they seek to develop an anti-racist math practice. The toolkit “strides” serve as multiple on-ramps for educators as they navigate the individual and collective journey from equity to anti-racism.”

Of note, many of these “strides” are bland and academic sounding, which to many parents and others seems “professional” and due thereto the wokeness sprinkled throughout is accepted because it is written by “the experts”.

The “About” page describes itself thusly:

“This toolkit was developed by a team of teachers, instructional coaches, researchers, professional development providers, and curriculum writers with expertise in mathematics education, English language development, and culturally responsive pedagogy. (See collaborator bios).

“Recognizing the importance of helping educators to identify essential content for the 2020-21 school year, our team used Student Achievement Partners’ Instructional Priority Content in Mathematics as a foundational guide for sharpening our content focus for this toolkit. We also recognized that educators need support in shifting their instructional practices to provide meaningful access to priority content while ensuring that those practices are research- and assets-based, and culturally responsive. We drew upon the principles of the California English Learner Roadmap and the Position Statement of TODOS: Mathematics for All as key resources for the development of the tools.

“We also realize that the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on communities of color has exacerbated the historic and systemic inequities experienced by Black, Latinx, and Multilingual students. We therefore embraced the responsibility to simultaneously create equitable access to quality math instruction for 6th-8th graders in the 2020-2021 school year, while continuing to confront systemic racism and individual beliefs rooted in racism.”

They offer PDFs of their “strides” which can be downloaded (for now) here, or read below.

Iowa vs. Critical Race Theory

New Hampshire and West Virginia have already been noted for having bills to prohibit the state from teaching “divisive concepts” in the form of “diversity training” according to Critical Race Theory. Iowa has also joined in this fight.  House Study Bill 258 was introduced, an the main text reads as follows:

Section 1. NEW SECTION. 261H.7 Race and sex stereotyping —— training by institution prohibited.
1. For purposes of this section, unless the context otherwise requires:
a. “Divisive concepts” includes all of the following:
(1) That one race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex.
(2) That the United States of America and the state of Iowa are fundamentally racist or sexist.
(3) That an individual, by virtue of the individual’s race or sex, is inherently or systematically racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously.
(4) That an individual should be discriminated against or receive adverse treatment solely or partly because of the individual’s race or sex.
(5) That members of one race or sex cannot and should not attempt to treat others without respect to race or sex.
(6) That an individual’s moral character is necessarily determined by the individual’s race or sex.
(7) That an individual, by virtue of the individual’s race or sex, bears responsibility for actions committed in the past by other members of the same race or sex.
(8) That any individual should feel discomfort, guilt, anguish, or any other form of psychological distress on account of that individual’s race or sex.
(9) That meritocracy or traits such as a hard work ethic are racist or sexist, or were created by a particular race to oppress another race.
(10) Any other form of race or sex stereotyping or any other form of race or sex scapegoating.
b. “Race or sex scapegoating” means assigning fault, blame, or bias to a race or sex, or to members of a race or sex because of their race or sex, or claiming that, consciously or unconsciously, and by virtue of persons’ race or sex, members of any race are inherently racist or are inherently inclined to oppress others, or that members of a sex are inherently sexist or inclined to oppress others.
c. “Race or sex stereotyping” means ascribing character traits, values, moral and ethical codes, privileges, status, or beliefs to a race or sex, or to an individual because of the individual’s race or sex.

Buffalo Public Schools To Kindergarteners: Go Woke Or Black Children Die

Five year old children who are White are being told that it is their fault that Black kids are shot in the back. According to documents obtained by Christopher Rufo, education in Buffalo public schools are basically declaring that students must be “activists” fighting for “antiracism” who “use their voices” in the battle for wokeness.

Sympathy For The Devil In The City Of Angels

In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: The police, who investigate crime, and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders who say f**k the police while at most slapping criminals on the wrist. This is one of their stories.

“Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón is under scrutiny after he hired a public defender who helped with his campaign to a high-ranking prosecutor position in his administration.

“That public defender has in the past posted anti-police comments on social media and now, the police and prosecutor unions are crying foul.

“…During the George Floyd unrest across Los Angeles, [Tiffiny] Blacknell called LAPD barbarians in a tweet and described them as an occupying army with the hashtag #DefundPolice

“She also posted that prison is obsolete and called for prisons to be abolished. The former public defender posted on Facebook during the series of looting that took place in May 2020 that she herself was a looter during the 1992 Rodney King riots. Blacknell shared a message for anyone complaining about the looting of West Hollywood or Santa Monica to ‘cry me a river.’

“Blacknell posted a selfie wearing a shirt that says ‘The Police Are Trained to Kill Us.’”

It’s cronyism and wokeness! It’s good to be the Nomenklatura, ain’t it?

This is yet another example of how “the revolution” against the “system” is coming from the inside, where “all the cops are criminals; all the sinners saints”.  Ah, that sympathy for the devil in, of all places, the city of angels.

Quick Takes – How Euthanasia Kills: Death By Non-Doctors; Death By Organ Harvesting; Death By Starvation

Another “quick takes” on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.

The focus this time: The murderous paradox of homicidal choice.

     First, a little mood music:

     Carrying on…

Death, Rx

You know people are eager to see people die when they see a patient’s own long-term physician is an obstacle.

“When selling the legalization of assisted suicide, activists always promise that strict guidelines will protect against abuse.

“After legalization, these protections are rebranded as ‘obstacles’ or ‘barriers’ that prevent patients from getting what they want. As soon as activists think they can get away with it, the law is loosened.

“That process is unfolding in Washington State, where a new bill would let non-doctors be part of the assisted suicide bureaucratic process. From HB 1141 (my emphasis):

“‘Attending ((physician)) qualified medical provider’ means the physician, physician assistant . . . or advanced registered nurse practitioner who has primary responsibility for the care of the patient and treatment of the patient’s terminal disease . . .”

So Long As The Gap Is Smaller…

Just as much of the ideology of the Left is just a cultural version of old school Marxist thought, the critic that Margaret Thatcher made about how, economically, the Left believed that they’d rather the poor be poorer just as long as the rich were even less rich such that the gap were smaller.

Case in point: Advanced learning classes for 4th through 6th grade in Boston Public schools is being abolished in the name of “equity”.

“A selective program for high-performing fourth, fifth and sixth graders in Boston has suspended enrollment due to the pandemic and concerns about equity in the program, GBH News has learned.

“Superintendent Brenda Cassellius recommended the one-year hiatus for the program, known as Advanced Work Classes, saying the district would not proceed with the program for new students next year.

“‘There’s been a lot of inequities that have been brought to the light in the pandemic that we have to address,’ Cassellius told GBH News. ‘There’s a lot of work we have to do in the district to be antiracist and have policies where all of our students have a fair shot at an equitable and excellent education.’

“…

“A district analysis of the program found that more than 70 percent of students enrolled in the program were white and Asian, even though nearly 80 percent of all Boston public school students are Hispanic and Black.

“School Committee member Lorna Rivera said at a January meeting that she was disturbed by the findings, noting that nearly 60 percent of fourth graders in the program at the Ohrenberger school in West Roxbury are white even though most third graders enrolled at the school are Black and Hispanic.

“‘This is just not acceptable,’ Rivera said at a recent school committee meeting. ‘I’ve never heard these statistics before, and I’m very very disturbed by them.’”

Perhaps even more disturbing than telling White and Asian students that they will be punished and denies academic opportunities because they are the wrong race and too many people of the wrong race are in the program, is the fact that they will be punishing the exact demographic. Black and Hispanic children, that they are purporting to help by this program closure.

Just as long as academic outcomes are more “equitable”, they don’t care if all children are punished just as long as children of all races are more equally uneducated.

West Virginia vs. Critical Race Theory

West Virginia has joined New Hampshire in seeing a bill introduced to ban the state from promoting “divisive concepts”. House Bill 2595 prohibits race or sex stereotyping or scapegoating, and to not allow funds for promoting the same:

It shall be the policy of the State of West Virginia not to promote race or sex stereotyping or scapegoating in the workforce, and not to allow grant funds to be used for these purposes. In addition, state contractors will not be permitted to inculcate such views in their employees.

For the purposes of definition, the phrase:

(a) “Divisive concepts” means the concepts that (1) one race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex; (2) the United States is fundamentally racist or sexist; (3) an individual, by virtue of his or her race or sex, is inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously; (4) an individual should be discriminated against or receive adverse treatment solely or partly because of his or her race or sex; (5) members of one race or sex cannot and should not attempt to treat others without respect to race or sex; (6) an individual’s moral character is necessarily determined by his or her race or sex; (7) an individual, by virtue of his or her race or sex, bears responsibility for actions committed in the past by other members of the same race or sex; (8) any individual should feel discomfort, guilt, anguish, or any other form of psychological distress on account of his or her race or sex; or (9) meritocracy or traits such as a hard work ethic are racist or sexist, or were created by a particular race to oppress another race. The term “divisive concepts” also includes any other form of race or sex stereotyping or any other form of race or sex scapegoating.

(b) “Race or sex stereotyping” means ascribing character traits, values, moral and ethical codes, privileges, status, or beliefs to a race or sex, or to an individual because of his or her race or sex.

(c) “Race or sex scapegoating” means assigning fault, blame, or bias to a race or sex, or to members of a race or sex because of their race or sex. It similarly encompasses any claim that, consciously or unconsciously, and by virtue of his or her race or sex, members of any race are inherently racist or are inherently inclined to oppress others, or that members of a sex are inherently sexist or inclined to oppress others.

The Multiracial Fight Against Critical Race Theory

It clear that Critical Race Theory and its claim of supporting “diversity, equity, and inclusion” is actually monolithic, systemically discriminatory, and exclusive of dissenting thought.

By viewing everything through a racial lens, the proponents of Critical Race Theory get away with racial discrimination and racial demonization, in part, by trying to unite non-Whites in a coalition against Whites and promising to benefit non-Whites with the “diversity, equity, and inclusion”. This little scheme kinda breaks down when you start running out of White people to kick around and there isn’t enough “equity” to be redistributed. When that happens, the hierarchy of racial oppression will find some other race to target, and there are no juicier targets than those racial/ethnic groups that by most metrics do better than even the axiomatically evil Whites. When that happens, people who are part of those newly targeted groups, who hadn’t already been appalled by this wicked wokeness, start realizing that maybe, juuust maybe, non-discrimination is the way to go.

Take, for example, the failure this past November of Prop. 16, which would have repealed the California Civil Rights Initiative (i.e. Prop. 209) that prohibited discrimination and preferential treatment. Prop. 16 was defeated by an even greater margin than Prop. 209 was passed by, despite California having gone from majority White to plurality Hispanic. If you can get away with discriminating on the basis of one race, you have the justification for discriminating against any race.

But, perhaps, the far more clear sign that the opposition to the wickedly animus that is Critical Race Theory than non-White civic organizations saying what White people don’t have the real privilege or real power to say. Case in point: The Chinese American Citizens Alliance Greater New York, who eviscerate Critical Race Theory and lay its poisonous corpse bare.
