Christopher Rufo, who had done yeoman’s work at collecting, disseminating, and pointing out the primary documents being used to teach Critical Race Theory, wokeness, and associated madness has put out a short summary video primer of how Critical Race Theory came to be.
The one big mistake Mr. Rufo makes is focusing on the actual implementation and not the core ideology that serves as the keystone. By attacking the keystone, the core can be replaced as it replaced before it.
The desecration of well established characters in animation and comics by “updating them”, and otherwise using and established name to sell what would otherwise had never gotten approved, has become so ubiquitous in the America is seems that it is a question not of “if” but “when”. Not even the magazine “Heavy Metal” can escape, especially after infection from DC comics: The iconic character Taarna, who has practically become the magazines unofficial mascot, is now being depicted not in her usual scantily clad armor but in a full body suit.

As if to take away any doubt as to the magazine’s attitude and reasoning, they have been continuously mocking people on social media who did not like the magazine’s overhaul of a character that has been the magazines de facto mascot for over forty years.
“Heavy Metal” was adult, but never vulgar, but always innovative and cutting edge. It was the American incarnation of the French comics magazine “Métal hurlant”, and introduced Americans to the vibrant French comics scene before branching out with American, and other, artists. Ironic, then, that France that is strongly opposing this wokification of everything. It’s sad that their willingess to engage in government censorship is what is giving them the impetus to stand up against the “cancel culture” and to protect since in their view only the government can censor wrongspeak and the woke crowd is trying to attack what the government explicitly allows (which automatically makes it acceptable in this view).
The Left, and especially the “Social Justice Warriors” who push Critical Race Theory hide the plain truth of their own ideology that they are implementing using neutral and even positive sounding euphemisms.
Drs. Bruce Gilley, Peter Boghossian, and James Lindsey have provided a “cheat sheet” that explains what the Left means when they talk about “equity”, “justice”, and “decolonization”, amongst other terms.
San Diego’s schools are going full in on teaching “restorative” racial justice and Critical Race Theory, will be spending $77 million to push this ideology in all core disciplines.

This is why the people fleeing Venezuela, as people still flee from Cuba, even at the risk of their own lives. Even the opposition has fled Venezuela, which is a sensible thing to do with a doubled down witch hunt against enemies of the regime. This certainly makes it easier to engage in electoral fraud.
This is not to say the opposition hasn’t done nothing, in fact they have gotten into… cryptocurrency. Not that Venezuela’s currency needs any help self-destructing, which is why Venezuela is moving away from the Bolivar to… the U.S. Dollar.

An author and professor, Jared Yates Sexton, wrote a long rant saying that opposing Critical Race Theory being taught in schools is totes literally “fascist” and Nazis are about to take over America. While this is histrionic nonsense, the way he lays out his argument is the same thing that children are being taught in schools and is the dominant narrative that more and more people are coming to understand as “the truth”. It isn’t enough to just dismiss this as crazy and presume that most other people will agree without need to argue the point, this requires… a fisking.

Yesterday, as a political measure, the state of Florida, pushed by the GOP, banned the teaching of "critical race theory," or the investigation of systems of power, racism, and oppression.

No, it just banned making a hateful and racially essentially ideology mandated propaganda and prevents the schools from pushing such bigoted indoctrination.
Critical Race Theory presumes that there are systems of “power, racism, and oppression” and that it is its job to uncover what is already there. It is the exact opposite of trying to find or understand the truth about the past.
Underneath all of it is the concept of "Cultural Marxism," or the idea that there is a secret conspiracy by communists, Jews, and liberal traitors, to destroy the culture of the country and unseat systems of power.
It is paranoid, fascist, and can be murderous.

Critical Race Theory posits a conspiracy to destroy culture and establishes itself to “unseat systems of power”, making it clear that this tweet is just another example of projection. But notice what he did here: He intentionally brought in the “Jews”. While some anti-Semites are also anti-Communist, he is presenting without argument that opposition to Critical Race Theory is tantamount to literally Hitler.
Hitler created his power base on this very conspiracy theory and presented it as an existential threat to Germans.
