     Another “quick takes” on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.

     The focus this time: (Not quite) Kinderheim 511.

     First, a little mood music:

     A Catholic university has declared a new “original sin” in the form of… the existence of White people.

“In an hour-long panel at Sacred Heart University, the term “white privilege was mentioned more than forty times and discussed from “systemic” historical, sociological, and psychological perspectives.

“During part of the Catholic university’s ‘White Privilege is the Problem: Wrestling with the Legacy of America’s “Original Sin”’” panel, seven panelists shared what white privilege is, how white privilege “perpetuates racism and racial injustice,” and what can be changed.

“‘….White privilege is systemic and made up of all those institutional advantages that white people enjoy over people of color solely because white people are white,’ said Michelle Loris, an associate dean and Catholic studies chair at SHU and moderated of the discussion.

“‘In short, white privilege assumes that white lives matter more than Black lives’ said the associate dean.”

     Race is both a “social construct” and also at the same time an almost spiritual and innate “way of knowing”. One guess which “social construct’s” innate “way of knowing” is evil.

“For white teachers to effectively engage students in learning Black history, we must question everything about the way we teach and learn in schools. Positivism—a dominant view in Western thought that confines what is “knowable” to what can be proven through the scientific method—is not the only framework with which we can make sense of history. Teachers should think critically about teaching materials and textbooks that both privilege Eurocentric content knowledge and Western ways of knowing more broadly.”

     Not only are White people, and only White people, genocidal maniacs of the more temporal and physical sense, ‘twould seem they are also using the souls of “BIPOC” to fuel their evil.

“Seattle Public Schools held a teacher-training session where it asserted that the U.S. education system is responsible for committing ‘spirit murder’ against black students.

“The school district’s critical race theory training, according to documents released Friday by City Journal contributing editor Christopher Rufo, instructed white teachers to recognize their ‘considerable power and privilege.’ A slide on ‘building community’ listed bullet points for teachers to discuss, including ‘spirit murder’—a term defined as the murder of ‘the souls of black children every day through systemic, institutionalized, anti-black, state-sanctioned violence.’

“Other slides instructed white teachers to ‘bankrupt [their] privilege,’ acknowledge their ‘thieved inheritance,’ and ‘commit to the journey’ of anti-whiteness even if their ‘lizard brain’ makes them fearful of having a conversation about racism—‘or any other kind of ‘-ism.’”
