All Your Data Are Belong To Us (“Us” Being Google)

Google, known for the most ironic corporate slogan ever (“Don’t Be Evil”), has accumulated the true wealth of the internet age: Information. Though we have repeatedly and often been reminded of the dangers of a neo-fuedalistic oligarchy, most have ignored that and soled their very being for a thirty pieces of apps and online quips. Oh, not only is the information you are voluntarily giving them allowing them to manipulate public policy, but also all the information that you never intentionally gave them being used by them for their own machinations.

One of the promises of Obamacare and similar such legislation was a promise that medical information could be easily accessed by your doctors at all time regardless of where you are or if they were the doctors who even contributed to your medical history. Such ease of access to allegedly save you life was offered with that very same promise that is wouldn’t “be evil”.

Turns out, yeah, it was evil.

Google, it has been reported, is not only collecting all your personal medial information, but number crunching and cross-correlating it, according to a whistleblower.

“’Google is secretly transporting data to its own servers without patient knowledge or consent,’ the whisteleblower claims in the video.

“The video goes on to explain that the project has four stages. The first two move patient data, with patients’ names, to Google’s cloud.

“During stage three, Google uses Ascension’s data to build a framework in the cloud. Then during stage four, Google will mine Ascension’s patient information to run analytics and AI algorithms, sell or share data with third parties, and create profiles of patients that can be used for ads targeted to the patients’ healthcare issues. “

Firing Line Friday: Resolved: That Government Is Not the Solution; It Is the Problem

In the hopes of encouraging a more civil, and illuminating, discourse, here is another episode of William F. Buckley, Jr.’s “Firing Line”.

In 1981, Ronald Reagan declared during his inauguration speech that “government is not the solution to our problems; government is the problem”. In 1990, between Reagan leaving office and Bill Clinton winning the 1992 Presidential election, William F. Buckley, along with Dick Armey, Jean Kirkpatrick, Charlton Heston, George, McGovern, Gary Hart, Pat Schroeder, and Dennis Weaver debated if the 1980’s showed this to be true.

Quick Takes – Gender Heretics: Purged for Question the Number of Genders; Retaliation against Real Women; Gender-Medical Complex

Another “quick takes” on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.

     The focus this time: Heresy!

     First, a little mood music:

     Carrying on…

Are there only two genders? If you think so, then the Mearns Academy in Scotland wants to kick you out of school.

“First, he was thrown out of class. Then he was suspended for three weeks. Now he’s been expelled.

“The student who argued with his teacher about the number of human genders will not be coming back to Mearns Academy in Scotland, according to a report in the Evening Standard.

“The student, ‘Murray,’ confirmed the news via an interview with a YouTuber on July 1. The video includes a Fundly link to assist Murray ‘with whatever he needs, which may include finishing his diploma at a private institution, tuition for college, or even rent and other basic expenses.’”

Unsurprisingly, a GoFundMe account to help the student was shut down by the company for being doubleplusungood.

Same Coin Different Sides The Alt-Right And The Far Left

Ben Shapiro, who seems to make all the right enemies, has somehow gotten the Far Left to protest his condemnation of… Nazis.

Speaking at Stanford University, Shapiro spoke out against the Alt-Right and the comfortableness with, if not out right endorsement of, White crypto-identitarianism. During this speech, he was interrupted by the usual Far Left protesters/idjits who seemed to not get the memo that Nazis are bad.

This underscores just how much the Alt-Right (as in an alternative to the Right and Anglo-spheric conservatism) is just the flip side to the Far Left on the same coin.

“Shapiro spent a significant portion of the speech arguing that the alt-right and the far-left actually have a lot in common because both subscribe to identity politics. ‘The left’s view of American politics is that Americans can be identified by group. Americans are black or Hispanic or white or green or Jewish or lesbian,’ Shapiro said. He added, ‘If you’re on the left you don’t describe people by their belief systems or by what they do, you describe them by their attributes. You describe them by group attributes. And they have a whole intersectional hierarchy deciding how victimized you are based on how many of these boxes you check. The only difference between the left and the alt-right is that they reverse the hierarchy.’”

The King Louie Club

Yet another non-human has been granted legal rights that some humans aren’t given, in this case an orangutan was declared a person.

“Judge Elena Liberatori’s landmark ruling in 2015 declared that Sandra is legally not an animal, but a non-human person, thus entitled to some legal rights enjoyed by people and better living conditions.

“’With that ruling, I wanted to tell society something new, that animals are sentient beings and that the first right they have is our obligation to respect them,’ she told The Associated Press.”

Though Dr. Zaius might disagree, let us hope that this does not lead to the discovery of “man’s hot red fire”.

Still, if allowed to run for an elected office, there’d certainly be a step up in intelligence of the office seeker.

The Presumption of Illegality and the Dictatorship of the Bureaucracy

The big buzzword amongst woke “urban planners” is “equity“. If ever you hear your local government elected officials talk about it or hear them being informed about it, then you have fair warning that something sinister is afoot. Equity, in effect, is a positing that all superficial inequalities are caused by some fundamental evil that can only be corrected by “re-balancing” society by punishing the effect of unequal outcomes by not only forcibly changing the superficial effect in the hopes of changing the cause, but also by declaring people guilty of deracination because the unequal outcome was caused by a “disparate impact” even if there was literally no discrimination, let alone intent.

A recent legal paper by Gail L. Heriot of the University of San Diego examines how this is an attack on the rule of law, and how it benefits some over others.

“In Griggs v. Duke Power Co. (1971), the Supreme Court held that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 went far beyond prohibiting intentional discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. According to the Court, it also presumptively outlawed job actions that have a ‘disparate impact,’ regardless of whether the employer had an intent to discriminate.

“The evidence that this was a misinterpretation of both the text and Congressional intent is overwhelming. Up until 1991, Griggs would have been an excellent candidate for an outright and explicit overruling. But the Civil Rights Act of 1991’s backhanded recognition of the disparate impact cause of action makes that more difficult than it otherwise might be.

“This article discusses various ways in which disparate impact liability has been bad policy and various arguments for its unconstitutionality.”

Firing Line Friday: Resolved: On Impeachability

In the hopes of encouraging a more civil, and illuminating, discourse, here is another episode of William F. Buckley, Jr.’s “Firing Line”.

With all the obsession over Presidential impeachment now-a-days, let us look on a far less insane investigation from over twenty years ago discussing impeachability.

Quick Takes – Transing Children: Tricking 8 Year Olds; Puberty Blockers For Pre-Teens; Adults & Middle Schoolers Swapping Sex Stories

Another “quick takes” on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.

The focus this time: Gotta get ‘em early and fresh?

     First, a little mood music:

     Carrying on…

There ain’t no transgender kid like a woke eight year old transgender kid… which the woke adults will get one way or the other.

“It doesn’t get much crazier than this. According to KPTV-TV, an Oregon elementary school teacher tried to convince an 8-year-old student that he was transgender. The schoolteacher did this without involving the parents. The result? The boy is now aggressive, depressed, and confused.

“The teacher at Nellie Muir Elementary School in Woodburn targeted the boy for transgender indoctrination when he started using the staff restroom after a stomach issue made him feel uncomfortable about using the boys’ toilet. The teacher took the 8-year-old aside, spoke shortly to him, and then proceeded to share all kinds of transgender literature and videos with him. The teacher asked the boy several times whether he thought he was a girl and even held him out of recess in order to read transgender books and watch transgender videos. Oh, and to top it off, there were one-on-one conversations about transgenderism.

“All this was done without the parents’ consent or even their knowledge. It only came out when the boy came home with a book about transgenderism and when he talked to a therapist (while crying his eyes out).”

     Unsurprisingly, the parents are suing.

“Bear in mind that this wasn’t a teenager, which might be bad enough, but an eight year old with a stomach problem. Even granting the best of possible intentions, why wouldn’t the first step in dealing with suspicions of gender dysphoria be to contact the child’s parents? It’s not as if the parents in this case are social neanderthals, at least from the perspective of Academia. They tell reporter Bonnie Silkman in the video that they aren’t concerned about what identity he chooses as long as he chooses it, and not get indoctrinated into it by an activist teacher.

“…

“The most impressively loco part of this story is that the teacher still works at the school — a full year after the school confirmed the parents’ story. The only correction the teacher received was to be reminded of the district’s policies on “controversial issues” and to notify parents and the school when she “alters a student’s regular school day.” Meanwhile, this family will be dealing with the aftershocks of her actions for years.

“The school district declined to comment on the story because of the lawsuit, but they might owe an explanation to the other parents in the district, especially to those whose children are within this teacher’s supervision. How many other children has she attempted to indoctrinate into transgender identities? And how many of the parents in this school district — and elsewhere — might start considering private schools or home-schooling to protect their children from predatory behavior?”
