Quick Takes – Lesbian Rights, Transgender Rights, and Incest Rights

Another “quick takes” on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.

The focus this time: Lesbian, Trannies, and Incest, Oh My!

     First, a little mood music:

     Carrying on…

The veritable Robert Stacy McCain points out a certain inequality when it comes to “coming out of the closet”:

“No one is ever accused of being a ‘latent heterosexual,’ nor are we permitted to believe it possible that a lesbian is confused about her sexuality or to suggest she is repressing her inner straight woman.

“Sexual confusion nowadays is always a one-way trip to Queer City.”

Funny that, but at least radical feminists lesbians are consistent about being radical feminist lesbians…

The so-called Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed lawsuits claiming that:

“[D]iscrimination on the basis of transgender status violates Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of ‘sex, among other things.”

That the Left has for years now declared that gender is completely different from one’s biological sex would make it seem that they are being hypocritical about claiming discrimination on the basis of one’s sex is the same thing as discrimination based on “gender.”

But then that ignores the fact that they already consider that “gender” is both a “social construct” and is something for which a person is “born that way.”

All in all, it is just a Humpty-Dumpty excuse to impose power over others.  Of course, this is hardly the final frontier on sexuality…

The German government’s “Ethics Panel” has declared that brother-sister incest is perfectly OK!  Apparently the right of “adult siblings to sexual self-determination” is more important than the “abstract idea of protection of the family”.

They are at least being consistent.  Is there any argument against sanguineous marriages or sexual unions that either was argued against homosexuals or is otherwise legal already today?

The family might be the pillar upon which society rests, but if it is being torn down to satisfy one tiny minority, why should others be precluded from enjoying the downfall of society in a sexually perverse way?

In for a penny, in for a pound.
